Our Story

MiStory is an acronym for the Multicultural Study of Trauma Recovery. We are a research collaborative working around the world to use safe and trauma-informed methods that illuminate the interactions among cultural context, the self, gender and trauma recovery. We have worked in international settings for 10 years developing our research infrastructure, our practices and protocols, and carrying out field trials.

Global Reach

Because MiStory aims to uncover and document cultural variations and similarities in trauma recovery, we are committed to listening for culture and context, culturally translating instruments, validating instruments between countries.
